We offer three types of materials for our wallpaper collection. They are as follows:

  1. Self Adhesive PVC Free Wallpaper
A peel and stick wallpaper made from a closely woven polyester material with a fine, subtle cotton like texture that is easily removed with minimal paint damage to your wall. Joins are seamless.

  2. Self Adhesive Vinyl Wallpaper
A peel and stick wallpaper with a smooth finish that is ‘one stick only and made from vinyl. Has a 1cm overlapping join.

  3. Traditional Pasted Wallpaper
A PVC Free permanent wall covering with a subtle fibre texture that is pasted on using wallpaper glue.  Joins are seamless.

SELF ADHESIVE PVC FREE WALLPAPER

Wall surface requirements
This material will not stick to metal, hi gloss, enamal gloss, glass, or any walls that have been sealed or coated. It will not adhere to treated stainless steel, brass or bronze surfaces.

Wall preparation
Ensure your wall is completely clean, smooth and free of indents and bumps along with no dark and light patches to avoid imperfections showing through your wallpaper. For guidelines on how to prepare your wall please click here.

Installation
This material is repositionable during installation, making it easier to apply and fix errors. To understand our installation process please click here.

Joins
Has a 1 cm overlap which is carefully cut away by our installers to create a butt join. Butt joins are seamless and barely visible compared to overlapping joins

Finish
Very lightly textured ‘cotton’ finish that is completely matte.

Removal
This product creates minimal damage to your wall but some paintwork may lift up upon removal. The longer this product is applied to your wall, the stronger the glue adheres. Remove at a 180° angle while pulling slowly against itself.

Care and Longevity
Perfect for temporary application uses and typically last 2-3 years indoors. However, if you take care of your product, it has the potential to last much longer. Keep your adhesive product away from direct sunlight and heat sources as this can damage the adhesive and cause your product to peel. To spot clean your wallpaper only use a lightly dampened cloth. Do not soak the wallpaper, use detergents or scrub.

Notes
If your wall is not properly prepared, imperfections may still show through. This material is very easy to reposition during installation.

SELF ADHESIVE VINYL WALLPAPER

Wall surface requirements
Will stick to almost any wall surface except metal, hi gloss, gloss enamel or glass.

Wall preparation
Ensure your wall is completely clean, smooth and free of indents and bumps along with no dark and light patches to avoid imperfections showing through your wallpaper. For guidelines on how to prepare your wall please click here.

Installation
This paper is not repositionable, once the design has been stuck to your wall it cannot be removed and reapplied without repainting and reprinting first.

Joins
Has a 1 cm overlap which cannot be cut away. This overlap is necessary to prevent the sheets from separating due to 0.5-1% shrinkage on all vinyl self adhesive materials over time. Please note the visibility of overlapping joins varies on different designs and background colours.

Finish
Smooth, untextured matte finish with a very subtle sheen.

Removal
Our Vinyl material is a hi-tack product that has strong adhesion the moment it is pressed to your wall. Removal of our vinyl product even immediately after installation, is likely to leave some glue residue and remove paintwork. Your wall will require repainting after removal.

Notes
Our vinyl material is a light weight material and a great option for renovating on a budget. The paper is thinner than our PVC Free materials and can sometimes show through imperfections on your wall if the wall has not been properly prepared. Due to the 1cm overlap, the joins on our Self Adhesive Vinyl material may be more obvious than our other materials, however the visibility of overlapping joins does vary on different designs and background colours. If in doubt regarding the overlapping joins, we recommend ordering a sample.

TRADITIONAL PASTED WALLPAPER

Wall surface requirements
Can be pasted to almost any wall surface except metal, hi gloss or walls finished in gloss enamal.

Joins
Traditional pasted wallpaper does not require an overlapping join. Instead butt joins are used. Butt joins are seamless and barely visible compared to overlapping joins.

Finish
A subtle weaved/fibre texture with a matte finish.

Removal
Traditional pasted wallpaper requires removal with various tools such as a scraper, remover solvent and sponge. You may choose to have your wallpaper removed professionally. When your paper is removed it is likely to lift some of your wall's original paintwork and require your wall to be resurfaced and repainted after removal.

Care and Longevity
With proper care, our traditional pasted wallpaper is designed to last indefinitely. To spot clean your wallpaper only use a lightly dampened cloth. Do not soak the wallpaper, use detergents or scrub.

Notes
Traditional pasted wallpaper whilst a little more work to install or remove, is a high quality wall covering that is seamless with a beautiful texture and feel. The seamless butt joins of traditional pasted wallpaper makes this material the preferred choice for stylists and interior designers.

INSTALLATION COSTS
Installation is included in the cost of all our wallpaper and large decal prices. If you would like to install the wallpaper yourself or you have a preferred installer, please let us know and we can provide a revised quote that does not include installation charges.

If you live outside of the Dubai Emirate, our installers charge a travel and fuel surcharge. Customers in Sharjah will incur a AED150 surcharge and all other Emirates will incur a surcharge of AED200.

BEFORE INSTALLATION
Before we can install your wallpaper, please ensure your wall has been prepared correctly. To see our wall preparation guidelines please click here. Wall preparation is the full responsibility of the customer.

No installation may take place unless free unencumbered space is provided for the team to work in. Please remove any curtains, wall hangings, pictures and accessories from your wall before installation. Please ensure all furniture is moved away from your wall to allow easy access for our installers.

On installation, our team will not remove any devices or wall fixtures and will cut around these items. Should the client prefer that wallpaper not be cut away, then this would be for the clients’ own arrangement for removal of fixtures.

Walls should be prepared according to our guidelines here. Paper Pop will not be held liable for any walls that have been ill-prepared or painted with incorrect wall finishes. Even on inspection of your wall, our team may not know for certain whether your paint finish has any characteristics that may affect the longevity of your wallpaper's adhesiveness. It is imperative that you read our wall preparation guidelines to ensure you have prepared your wall correctly.

INSTALLATION
On the day of installation, our team will thoroughly check your wall for any bumps and imperfections. If our team finds any issues with your wall, you will have two options:

1. After reviewing the issues, if you're still happy to go ahead with the installation, our team will proceed provided you email hello@paper-pop.com or message us on WhatsApp 050 8454622, and state in writing that you are happy to continue with the installation and understand that if any issues arise from the installation due to the condition of your wall, that you accept responsibility.

2. If you are not happy to proceed and would like more time to prepare your wall, our team will visit on another day. A second callout fee of AED150 will apply before our installation team will revisit.

Please be present throughout your wallpaper's installation. If you think there are any aesthetic issues or any joins are not satisfactory, please advise the installers immediately while they are still at your premises. If any issues are flagged after the installers are gone, we cannot guarantee the issues can be fixed. For example, our vinyl material is not repositionable after it has been pressed and flattened to your wall. Your presence at the installation is imperative to ensure you are happy with the installation before they leave.

Please note, that due to most walls being skew and not 100% flat/level, sometimes there are very slight discrepancies with the patterns matching perfectly. If a join is very slightly out in just 1 or 2 areas by a few millimetres, this is regarded as normal. However if a whole vertical join is out from top to bottom, or there are several mismatches that catch your eye easily, this is regarded as unsatisfactory and must be amended. We advise our customers to be present to act as a third eye overlooking the installation and ensure they are happy with all the joins.

JOINS
There will be a 1cm overlap for each join on both our self adhesive materials. However, the overlap will be cut away for our Self Adhesive PVC Free material. The overlap cannot be cut away for our Self Adhesive Vinyl material. We must maintain the overlap joins with our Self Adhesive Vinyl material due to vinyl products having a 0.5-1% shrinkage on the wall over time. This is standard with all vinyl peel and stick wallpapers. If we applied the wallpaper with butt joins, when the wallpaper slightly shrinks, it will create a gap between the sheets and reveal the wall behind. This can look unsightly so overlap joins are always applied with this material.

Please note the visibility of overlapping joins varies on different designs and background colours.

Almost all walls are slightly uneven and never 100% completely flat. It is not unusual for a wallpaper's design to have one or two joins that are not completely perfect. Our installers will take the utmost care to join the designs from tile to tile as perfectly as possible, but due to anomalies in wall levels, some slight discrepancies can be expected. If your wallpaper has one or two matching discrepancies, this is considered normal, however, if any full length joins from top to bottom are not matching this is considered a fault in either the installation or design and must be corrected.

CUSTOMER ERRORS
Please note, any issues due to customer’s inaccurate wall measurements or inadequately prepared wall surfaces, are the responsibility of the customer. Our team will do our best to help rectify the issue as cost efficiently as possible, but if any reprints or new wall preparations are required, this will be at the expense of the customer.

The wallpaper imagery and room settings on our site are for visual purposes only. Products may vary from the images on screen. A digital preview is never realistic enough in terms of colour and contrast. Whatever is printed out can never be expected to be the same as that seen on a computer monitor. Even an enlarged version of the same image will also differ from the digital preview.  Our wallpapers are also printed on 3 different materials and each material produces a slightly different colour variation.

As such we recommend ordering samples and the responsibility for this falls upon the client, who should ideally request a sample print before proceeding with their full wallpaper, (as Paper Pop does not accept any liability for colour discrepancies for any wallpaper orders that were not initiated with a sample print).

Our samples are custom printed at 65cm x 65cm. This size of material would normally cost AED105 but we only sell them for AED75 each plus a flat delivery fee of AED30. If you would like to order a smaller sample, you can select your preferred size using our custom calculator.

Depending on the design, we can also provide some colour variations for you to choose from to help you with your paint matching. If you want a more dramatic change of colour, please let us know and we can modify our samples for most designs.

If you would like to order samples you can order them online, or if you have specific colour requests, please contact us with the details of your preferred design, colour and material, and we will send you a link to purchase.

NB: As a prerequisite for all projects initiated by interior designers, we require samples to be ordered and printed before the full wallpaper order can proceed.
