  3. Traditional Pasted Wallpaper

SELF ADHESIVE PVC FREE WALLPAPER

Wall surface requirements
This material will not stick to metal, hi gloss, enamal gloss, glass, or any walls that have been sealed or coated. It will not adhere to treated stainless steel, brass or bronze surfaces.

Wall preparation
Ensure your wall is completely clean, smooth and free of indents and bumps along with no dark and light patches to avoid imperfections showing through your wallpaper. For guidelines on how to prepare your wall please click here.

Installation
This material is repositionable for up to 6 months. This means you can remove it without any damage to your wall’s paintwork within that time frame. It also means it is more forgiving during installation. To understand our installation process please click here.

Joins
Has a 1 cm overlap which is carefully cut away by our installers to create a butt join. Butt joins are less visible than overlapping joins. Please note joins can never be completely invisible, and the visibility of joins varies on different designs and background colours.

Finish
Very lightly textured ‘cotton’ finish that is completely matte.

Removal
This material is repositionable for up to 6 months. This means that the material can be taken down without removing any paintwork from your original wall and restuck if desired. Removal after 6 months may result in some removal of paint work, glue residue and unpredictable adhesion if reapplied to a different wall. The longer the wallpaper is applied to your wall, the stronger the adhesion. Remove at a 180° angle while pulling slowly against itself.

Care and Longevity
Perfect for temporary application uses and typically last 2-3 years indoors. However, if you take care of your product, it has the potential to last much longer. Keep your adhesive product away from direct sunlight and heat sources as this can damage the adhesive and cause your product to peel. To spot clean your wallpaper only use a lightly dampened cloth. Do not soak the wallpaper, use detergents or scrub.

Notes
If your wall is not properly prepared, imperfections may still show through. This material is very easy to reposition during installation.

SELF ADHESIVE VINYL WALLPAPER

Wall surface requirements
Will stick to almost any wall surface except metal, hi gloss, gloss enamel or glass.

Wall preparation
Ensure your wall is completely clean, smooth and free of indents and bumps along with no dark and light patches to avoid imperfections showing through your wallpaper. For guidelines on how to prepare your wall please click here.

Installation
This paper is not repositionable, once the design has been stuck to your wall it cannot be removed and reapplied without repainting and reprinting first.

Joins
Has a 1 cm overlap which cannot be cut away. This overlap is necessary to prevent the sheets from separating due to 0.5-1% shrinkage on all vinyl self adhesive materials over time. Please note the visibility of overlapping joins varies on different designs and background colours.

Finish
Smooth, untextured matte finish with a very subtle sheen.

Removal
Our Vinyl material is a hi-tack product that has strong adhesion the moment it is pressed to your wall. Removal of our vinyl product even immediately after installation, is likely to leave some glue residue and remove paintwork. Your wall will require repainting after removal.

Notes
Our vinyl material is a light weight material and a great option for renovating on a budget. The paper is thinner than our PVC Free materials and can sometimes show through imperfections on your wall if the wall has not been properly prepared. Due to the 1cm overlap, the joins on our Self Adhesive Vinyl material may be more obvious than our other materials, however the visibility of overlapping joins does vary on different designs and background colours.

TRADITIONAL PASTED WALLPAPER

Wall surface requirements
Can be pasted to almost any wall surface except metal, hi gloss or walls finished in gloss enamal.

Joins
Traditional pasted wallpaper does not require an overlapping join. Instead butt joins are used. Butt joins are not as visible as overlap joins. Please note joins can never be completely invisible, and the visibility of joins varies on different designs and background colours.

Finish
A subtle weaved/fibre texture with a matte finish.

Removal
Traditional pasted wallpaper requires removal with various tools such as a scraper, remover solvent and sponge. You may choose to have your wallpaper removed professionally. When your paper is removed it is likely to lift some of your wall's original paintwork and require your wall to be resurfaced and repainted after removal.

Care and Longevity
With proper care, our traditional pasted wallpaper is designed to last indefinitely. To spot clean your wallpaper only use a lightly dampened cloth. Do not soak the wallpaper, use detergents or scrub.

Notes
Traditional pasted wallpaper whilst a little more work to install or remove, is a high quality wall covering that is seamless with a beautiful texture and feel. The seamless butt joins of traditional pasted wallpaper makes this material the preferred choice for stylists and interior designers.
